Salt removal and buffer exchange are universal problems for protein, DNA and carbohydrate chemists. The Nest Group offers three approaches for 5 µL- 10 mL samples that are fast, simple, and economical:

DispoBioDialyzer™ Dialysis System - Fast and Simple

For simple dialysis or equilibrium dialysis for binding studies, the DispoBioDialyzer and the Dispo-EquilibriumDialyzer™; save you time and money. Using ultrathin membranes for the fastest dialysis times, these devices offer 100% recovery of your sample, even at 5 µL, for 40% of the cost of tube or slide dialyzers! Or process from 1 - 10 mL for 20% less. With MWCO membranes from 100Da to 50KDa, choose the unit best suited for your application, including a 1KDa membrane for oligonucleotide dialysis that sharpens gel electrophoresis bands!

Now available in a 25-300 µL, 96-Well formats with individual membranes for each well, or as a modular, 1 to 96 well, 96-Well Equilibrium Dialyzer plates.

MiniSpin™ Columns or MiniSpin 96-Well Plates - For Multiple Samples

With a wide choice of media, salt removal by Gel Filtration (SEC) from samples as small as 5 µL is fast and simple using UltraMicroSpin products. For glycoprotein work, the P2 or P6 resins will not contaminate your samples with carbohydrate. Get the lowest-cost per sample clean-up with G25 and G50 media whether you’re doing one sample or 96 with the MiniSpin 96-well plates. And you don’t have to throw away the unused columns since the plates are modular.

BioDialyzer™ Dialysis System - Dialysis/Concentration, Electroelution or Detergent Removal

For those applications where the samples need to be dialyzed and concentrated, the BioDialyzer is a flexible solution. With volumes from 10 µL to 5 mL and with prewashed membranes from MWCO of 100 Da to 1000 KDa, there is a complete set of BioDialyzer tools available for you. When dialysis is completed, simply put the Teflon® housing into a vacuum chamber to concentrate your sample in the inert well. No sample is lost from spinning or filtering as with other devices. The water simply evaporates through the membrane.

And when you connect them together, they can even be used for Equilibrium Dialysis applications. Or if you apply an electric current, they can used for electroelution to remove SDS or other ionic detergents or to remove your sample from a gel slice. For concentration, simply add a smaller volume second chamber.
